Story Box Library Update

BY JAMES BENNETT

Happy New Year from the Story Box Library (SBL) team! Get the new year off to an exciting start, with SBL’s fun back-to-school stories and activities.

Promoting good sleep habits for families, SBL is soon releasing a special story series with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), available to watch for free. Read more about the research behind the series and the story releases.

The StoryBox app is coming soon! SBL is working closely with our web developers to release the app as soon as possible.

January story release:

  • Written and read by Christopher Cheng, and illustrated by Di Wu, New Year Surprise! is about Little Brother, who is told by his brother and his friends that he's too small to help out at the Spring festival. He's not strong enough to hold onto a kite, and too little to hold the dragon poles. But Father says that he has a special job to do. What can it be?

Story releases from December:

  • At Christmas time all over Australia - from the bush to the 'burbs - Santa arrives on the back of the fire truck! The boisterous Fire Truck Santa celebrates a much-loved Aussie tradition.
  • Bear has lots of friends if you count her toys, but she’s not sure how to make real friends. How To Make Friends is a story about making friends while keeping the qualities (and quirks!) that make you unique.

With 24/7 access to a world of stories, it’s Storytime, Anytime!
