Packing Night for Kinder Kits 2025!

A Celebration of Stories and Community
Earlier this month, our Senior Sales Consultant, Chris Epple, and I had the opportunity to attend the Kinder Kits packing night—an incredible initiative by the Victorian Department of Education that provides free early learning packs to every child starting funded Three-Year-Old Kindergarten. These kits are filled with books, puzzles, and learning resources designed to spark a love of reading and learning from an early age.
Our submission Dream Little One, Dream by Sally Morgan & Ambelin Kwaymullina published by Puffin Australia, was included in the pack, and it was a truly proud moment to see our book among the carefully chosen selections destined to reach thousands of young children across Victoria.
While we only helped pack a small portion of the 80,000 kits, the night was still unforgettable. With an amazing team of volunteers, including the teams from DET VIC, Bao & Co, OC Connections, the makers of each product, and the legendary Jeanette Rowe, the event was filled with energy, laughter, and teamwork. And, of course, no packing night would be complete without pizza, which kept everyone fuelled as we worked together.
Being part of an initiative that supports early literacy and ensures every child has access to quality books is something we’ll always cherish. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making Kinder Kits happen—it’s a privilege to contribute to such an important cause!
